Verifying certification
Certificate holders are audited annually and provide their enrollment records to AFF for inclusion in the ATFS Verification Database. Learn more about that ATFS verification database and how to access it.
The ATFS Verification Database allows mills, manufacturers, and other authorized participants in the fiber supply chain to verify the certification status of the properties where products are being sourced.
Verification database subscriptions support administration of the ATFS Standards, database maintenance, and ATFS technical support. Subscription rates are:
- $500/year for consulting firms, log buyers, and similar entities Verification Database Agreement
- $600/year for a single mill or manufacturing facility
- $1100/year for two mills or manufacturing facilities
- $1750/year for companies that wish to verify certification for 3 or more facilities
Subscribers will be given password access to the on-line verification system after filling out the ATFS database agreement.
The password can be shared by the subscriber to appropriate verifiers within the facility’s procurement network. However, supporting facility procurement entities such as wood buyers and other extra-company wood consolidation entities need to subscribe separately.
Annual agreements renew automatically on January 1 unless the subscriber notifies AFF of their intent to cancel at least 30 days prior to renewal.
